Heinrihs Vorkals (1946-2018) was a Latvian artist and conceptualist. Vorkals’ creative art life began in the mid-1960s. The artist participated in significant group exhibitions in Latvia and Europe, representing Latvian art at the International Graphic Biennale in Königsberg (2000) and at the International Poster Biennale in Warsaw (2002). During his lifetime, Vorkals also held several acclaimed solo exhibitions. His works enrich the collections of the National Museum of Art, the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, the Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum in New York, and other public and private collections in Latvia and Europe.
