Ģirts Muižnieks’ art is characterised by improvisation, impulsivity, and fixation of moment. The sophistication of colour and rhythm of expressive, intertwined lines in the works of the artist creates an integral world of characters, rich in associations. Although during the course of his creative development Ģirts Muižnieks has become more distant from figurative painting, his paintings have retained certain specific details (lips, eyes and a woman’s body).
