With support from VV Foundation, contemporary art fair KOMISAS is expanding beyond Lithuania this year to include artists from Latvia.

Taking place from 6-15 November 2026 at Tech Zity Vilnius, the fair will bring together around 60 artists from Lithuania and Latvia, presenting approximately 200 artworks. The fair is curated by Linas Bliškevičius and Emilija Vanagaitė, who have been exploring the contemporary art scenes of Lithuania and Latvia in search of artists and practices they wanted to bring together in Vilnius.

Founded by artists as an alternative art fair, KOMISAS is a curated art marketplace that aims to make buying art simple, exciting and accessible. Through curated selections, clear pricing and an intuitive buying experience, it connects artists with collectors, first-time buyers and businesses, while providing practical support for artists to sell their work.

KOMISAS is developing a broader platform connecting physical events and digital spaces, with the ambition of making art buying more open, engaging and part of everyday life.

By supporting Latvian artists’ participation, VV Foundation helps strengthen connections between the Lithuanian and Latvian contemporary art communities and introduces their work to new audiences.
