We are pleased to continue our support of Riga Performance Festival Starptelpa, which brings daring new projects by local and international artists to Riga. This year’s edition of the festival will take place from 25 to 31 May 2026.
This year, the festival’s theme is Sonic Vibrations – the echoes, dissonances, and reverberations that bind bodies, histories, and futures through sound, shifts attention toward the auditory and the atmospheric experiences of performance art. Through its programme, Starptelpa reflects on heritage not as a static monument, but as a living cultural continuity: a process of remembering, rejecting, and reimagining.
As previously, in collaboration with VV Foundation, three performance art projects will be selected from the submitted applications to receive funding of EUR 500 each for the development, production, and realisation of the idea within the festival.
Following the presentation of the works at the festival, one author, the competition winner, will receive an additional EUR 500, as well as the opportunity to spend two weeks at the PAiR Residency in Pāvilosta.
