Laris Strunke

Laris Strunke (1931–2020) was a Swedish artist of Latvian origin and the son of the renowned Latvian painter Niklāvs Strunke. He was a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts, an Officer of the Order of the Three Stars of the Republic of Latvia, and one of Sweden’s most notable artists. From 1959 onwards, he held solo exhibitions in cities across Sweden and participated in numerous group exhibitions.
His works are held in museum and private collections, including those of the Latvian National Museum of Art, the Hungarian National Gallery in Budapest, and Moderna Museet in Stockholm.
