Laris Strunke

Laris Strunke (1931–2021) is a Swedish artist of Latvian origin – the son of the famous Latvian painter Niklāvs Strunke. He is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts, Officer of the VI Class Order of the Three Stars of the Republic of Latvia, one of the most notable artists of Sweden. Since 1959, the artist has been organising personalised exhibitions at different cities of Sweden, as well as participating in multiple group exhibitions. His works are on display in museum and private collections, including the collections of Latvian National Museum of Art, Hungarian National Gallery, Budapest, Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm.
