Andris Eglitis

Andris Eglītis (1981, Latvia) is on of the most outstanding middle generation Latvian painters. His creative work is characterised by convincing experiments with traditional art medium of painting, where he often goes beyond the conditionality of plane borders.

In 2013, Andris Eglītis received Purvītis Prize for the exhibition “Winter Works”, in 2015, together with Katrīna Neiburga, he developed the Latvian Pavilion exhibition “Armpit” at the 56th Venice Biennale.
