From line-rise to line-set

By way of developing his artistic style, the artist creates spatial objects from metal, mdf, veneer and other pronouncedly industrial materials, often, by using collage principle.
The sculpture of Ģelzis is characterised by merger of non-traditional materials, qualities of craftsmanship, clean lines, abstract, minimalistic shape, which, in conjunction with witty title of the work, allows to observe particularly specific creation of image. The works of Ģelzis questions and plays with traditional limits of art work interpretation.
