Sarmīte Mālina has been participating in exhibitions since late eighties of the 20th century by creating performances in public environment. Since the 90s she has been creating installations that use minimalistic form and sensitive materiality to fix subjective time perceptions. She is one of the first installator generation artists, who has been convincingly continuing her artistic activity to date.
