forever

The poster “forever”, which is the result of collaboration between Katja Novitskova and Kareem Lotfy, was first created according to the order of the independent record company Haunter Records. The company was founded in Milan by Daniele Guerrini and Francesco Birsa Alessandri, and the work of art, which features a bright caption and a black-and-white image of hyenas, adorned the cover of the contemporary experimental and electronic music album.
The work by Novitskova and Lotfy, which is exhibited at the northern façade of the PAiR residence, also literally “crawls out of the bushes” and unexpectedly greets passers-by. However, the privilege of seeing this scene of darkness at any hour of the day releases any imaginary fear, rather inviting one to think about their causes. It will most likely turn out that fear is only a human-like reaction to what is unaccustomed, unlearnt. And darkness, as we know, will remain untamed forever.
