Bearing Petals

The artist tells about the particular work: “The work Bearing Petals is about a certain personality of the violet colour, very bright, because it is a mixture of red and green. And at the same time, the characteristics thereof are highly universal. I love violet colour since my childhood, my father reproached me for that, he said it was too aggressive. I do not wear it myself, and i cannot say that everything at my home is violet, but it possesses a sort of freshness. I painted a bouquet of flowers in violet scale, Dutch style, very realistic. I have been in love with flowers lately,not because I am a girl and – in this vein… I believe that flowers, fruit are a very complex shape and it is not made up – it comes from nature. In some of may late works I use plants or elements thereof as a metaphor.”
