On 27 June, the new issue of the philosophy magazine Tvērums, supported by VV Foundation, will be launched in the Lastādija courtyard. The evening will be dedicated to the contemplation of nothingness, emptiness, non-being, and negation — one of the starting points of philosophy.
The new issue approaches Nothing as a thought that is both destructive and liberating. Emptiness, zero, absence, and the intangible become questions through which it is possible to think about the world, language, experience, and the human relationship with what cannot be directly grasped.
The launch event will invite visitors to approach Nothing not only theoretically, but also practically — through collective lounging, silence, doing nothing, and philosophically fruitful rest. Throughout the evening, visitors will be invited to give themselves over to pockets of emptiness in time, watch paint dry, listen to silence and fire, and take part in readings about Nothing.
Visitors are invited to come to the Lastādija courtyard and collectively devote themselves to Nothing — thinking, not thinking, doing, and not doing.
