Luīze Rukšāne

Luīze Rukšāne (1995) is a young artist who graduated from the Art Academy of Latvia in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in audiovisual and media arts. She has studied at the Faculty of Architecture at Riga Technical University, and has furthered her education at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Porto, as well as by taking beekeeping courses at the Latvian University of Agriculture. In 2015, she graduated from Janis Rozentāls Riga Art School, where she specialised in painting. She has been creating and participating in exhibitions since 2017. She works with various visual art media and organises exhibitions for her contemporaries. Currently, she is working on two more personal exhibitions, which are planned to be opened in September and November 2022. In her creative practice, Luīze expresses her love for the humane. Her drawings reflect the themes of growing up, growing, and memories.
