A new exhibition opened on August 10 at the Latvian Artists’ Union gallery in Rīga. Sabīne Vernere’s exhibition “Aklā zona” (Blind zone) reflects on her place in contemporary art in the landscape and its historical background.

Vernere (born 1990) studies at the Latvian Academy of Arts (LMA) in its doctoral program, an graduated from LMA in 2018 with a master’s degree in painting, supplemented her knowledge at the Antwerp Royal Academy of Arts Academy and the Royal Academy of Arts in Zagreb.

She has previously participated in group exhibitions in France, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Estonia and elsewhere in Europe.

We are happy to support the exhibition and its public programming.
