Paintings by Inga Meldere reflect and process the artist’s personal memories, stories and experiences. There is no single narrative in her works. Each work is an autonomous unit that exists in the time and space created by the author. Meldere is the observer of her own works; the existence of painting for her is a form of procedural participation in which the viewer is also involved.
