The photograph was created on the basis of the story of “Pyramiden”, which is the former Soviet coal industry town on Norwegian Svalbard island. The town was abandoned in 1998, leaving the library with books, club house and the most northern concert piano of the world. Historically the “no man’s land” or, to be more precise “everybody’s land” was exploited due to the natural resources (coal, other minerals) of the archipelago. Due to free access to the site, the island was popular among scientists of different countries.
