In her art, Viir studies the relations between art and economy by doubting the methods of operation of the world of art. Viir is also interested in topics that are associated with behavioural habits and functional models that she is documenting, contesting and redesigning in her compositions. Photograph series by Viir, where people and objects have been depicted in unexpected combinations, often address functionality and structure of social models. The artist is interested in daily aspects of human existence and the embroilment of associated social contracts.
